Peripheral ports
The section below describes different peripheral ports and terminals used for communication and power present on the device.
Top - Serial & Power
The SIA module has three pluggable block terminals located on the top side of the enclosure. They are RS232 and RS485 interfaces along with a DC power input. All of the connections are highlighted and numbered in the picture below.

Bottom - Ethernet & USB
The bottom side of the enclosure contains 2x 10/100M ethernet ports. Port X1 is the primary port used for the initial setup of the device and is configured with a default IP address 10.20.30.40
The illustration below shows the bottom side of the device with an optional USB port added on.
Powering up
To power SIA on, use screw terminals to mount power and ground connections. After the wires have been fastened in place, the power status LED should be turned on indicating present operating voltage.
In case a hard restart of the device is needed, this terminal can be simply plugged out and reinserted back in without manipulating the wire screw connections.
