Introduction to the portal
SIA Connect is an all-in-one gateway, data logger and protocol converter for Industry and Smart Building. To help you navigate and get the overview of the SIA portal this article will help you browse the portal, show you how to accessing it and describe the menu pages.
SIA Portal is a Web App so you can access it from any device with a web browser that has access to same local network as SIA Connect.
Portal address:
http://10.20.30.40 (default) or
http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the configured IP of SIA Connect)

Portal navigation
After you have logged in to the portal the following menu will be presented.
1. Home
The home of the portal. This is the first page that is being introduced after logging in. The home page is also the instance page.
2. Instances

This page will give you a list of all instances that are added to SIA Connect as shown below.
On this page you will be able to add new instances. To add a new instance press the green top left button Add new instance.
Each instance will show their status from the instance menu.
3. Connectors

All the Connectors that are available on SIA Connect are listed and can be managed on this page. The page shows all information related to the installed Connectors and from there you can Install Connectors, Uninstall Connector and manage their associated files.
If you need to uninstall one, press the red button Uninstall next to the connector you want to uninstall. To install a Connector press the green button Install Connector top left.
4. Network

Manage the network configuration from SIA Connect in here. From the network page you can see all accessible network interfaces and manage them. And set your desired host name for the SIA Connect.
Each network interface has an associated icon that indicates if it is Wireless or Wired interface.
5. Remote Access

If the SIA Connect is to be used with remote access, it can be configured here. SIA Connect supports the use of Netbird and Secomea.
6. Tools
Read more in detail about tools here.
Handy tools and their configuration are found under the Tools page. Here, tools like Ping, Certificate Management (PKIaaS), and Shadow API can be accessed and configured.
7. Containers (beta)
Containers is currently only a beta functionality. You will be able to run containers such as docker through SIA Connect.
8. System

From the System page, you can configure the clock, change system settings, access logs, import/export configurations, and update the system.
9. Performance
Under the performance tab, you will be able to see the overall health of the system. This consists of the CPU resources, memory and disk space.
The CPU resources will inform you on how long the system has been up, the temperature of the core and the average load which is visualized on a graph that will update in real time while you are on the page.
The Memory will inform you of how much RAM you have available and how much of it is currently in use. It also presents the use on a graph, which will update in real time while you are on the page.
The disk space will inform you on the total available disk space and how much is in use.
10. Users
Here you can see all users on your SIA Connect, add or delete users, change the password for users (if you change your own password, you will automatically be logged out) and change the privilege for the users.
Non-admin users will need to enter the PIN for the SIA Connect to access any user information
11. Support
If you have any issues or errors with SIA Connect you use the support tab to directly send us a ticket on our costumer support site.
This requires your SIA Connect to be connected to the internet
12. Knowledge base search bar
Search our knowledge base directly from the portal. This search is powered by AI trained on our knowledge base to help answer your questions
13. Current user
From here you can logout of the software, refresh your GUI or API cache. It also shows whether you are connected to the internet, indicated by a globe icon that turns green when online.
