How to edit items
Sometimes you want to play around with your existing configuration or something have changed so you have to modify the configuration. Maybe you even want to delete it or just free up some resources and clear the data you have logged.
It is easy to apply this to an item and for all both editing, deleting and clearing the data you will first have to go into the desired items configuration:
- In the SIA portal go to the Instance where you want to edit an item.
- In the instance overview scroll down to the items table.
- Locate the desired item and click on it. A dialogue will open.
Edit item
Editing can be done by following the below steps:
- Modify the parameters for the itemyou want to change.
- Item parameters are described in Item parameters
- Press Save item
Delete item
To delete an item do the following steps:
- In the lower right corner of the dialogue press the Delete item
- A popup will open and ask if you are sure you want to delete the item
- If you are sure, press OK
Clear logged data
By clearing all logged data you will be able to delete ALL the data records stored for item. This means all the items data records will be deleted. To wipe out all the data records do the following in the dialogue:
- In the lower right corner press the Clear logged data
- A popup will open and ask if you are sure you want to delete all the data records for the item
- If you are sure, press OK
