Standards

Most clouds can be accessed using standards methodologies. SIA supports the following

Standard Remarks
REST API All Clouds with a REST API backend is supported by SIA. The payload and authentication methods can be tailored and customized in SIA Connect to match yours.
MQTT  MQTT is a very commonly used transport layer for getting data to the Cloud through a broker.
SIA supports payload customization and uploading of the brokers certificates which enables a very wide use.
File Generate CSV, JSON or any desired file format and upload them to SFTP, FTP or local drives.

 

Clouds

Some Cloud services have a dedicated SIA Connector. These clouds are listed here.

Cloud Remarks
Azure IoT  You only have to provide your ConnectionString for the IoT Hub and then you can connect all your data to the Hub.
Siemens Mindsphere

Gives the ability to:

  • Automatically fetch all the data points from MindSphere
  • Easy on-boarding of gateway
  • Click and connect devices from other brands than Siemens
Apache Pulsar
